Chauncey Smith   |   09 Jun 2018

A Myrtle Beach vacation is right up there with bald eagles, baseball and apple pie as far as things that are truly and proudly American go. And with July 4th rapidly approaching, why not make plans for a patriotic trip to the Grand Strand? In addition to our beautiful beaches and endless array of entertainment options, Myrtle Beach will light up the sky with tremendous firework displays all throughout the week of July 4th. Enjoy the rockets' red glare and the bombs bursting in air at some of these great July 4th celebrations around Myrtle Beach.

Barefoot Landing

Barefoot Landing is always a great spot to visit in North Myrtle Beach, with tons of unique shops, a fantastic assortment of restaurants and live entertainment venues like the House of Blues and the Alabama Theatre. All summer long they showcase fireworks every Monday night, but you can bet that they've got something special planned for Wednesday, July 4th! The pyrotechnics will kick off that night at 10 PM, lighting up the whole area in a sparkling glow.

Broadway at the Beach

Much like Barefoot Landing, Broadway hosts weekly fireworks displays with their shows taking place each Tuesday night. And even though there are endless amusements, shops and restaurants to lure you to South Carolina's most visited tourist attraction, their July 4th fireworks extravaganza is sure to wow all spectators! A tremendous barrage of fireworks will launch over Lake Broadway and light up the sky at 10 PM on July 4th.

Murrells Inlet Marshwalk

Down on the southern end of the Grand Strand patriotism will be on display all day at the Murrells Inlet Marshwalk! Show up that afternoon and watch the annual July 4th Boat Parade from 4 PM to 6 PM, with vessels all decked out in red, white and blue regalia. Afterwards, grab a delicious meal and drinks at one of their great restaurants and settle in for their huge fireworks show starting at 10 PM that night.

With so many fantastic 4th of July events going on along the beautiful Grand Strand, you just canít beat spending America's birthday in Myrtle Beach!
